The 2014 Queen Tour has been very suc-
cessful and full of watermelon excitement!
We ended our promotions this year with
a bang! We visited Anaheim, California
for the annual PMA trade show. Approxi-
mately 20,000 industry professionals from
60 countries attended the Fresh Summit.
What an amazing experience and opportu-
nity for Queen Montana to visit with pro-
duce industry members from all over the
Lastly, we headed back to Washington,
DC for the Marine Corp Marathon. This
was one of the busiest and most success-
ful promotions. There were approximately
30,000 runners and we handed out thousands of cups filled with watermelon. I
would like to thank the National Watermelon Promotion Board for organizing
such a terrific promotion. In addition, I
would like to thank our sponsors for this
promotion: National Watermelon Association, NWPB, and Mr. Don Hiller-The
Class Produce Group.

Greetings from the Alabama Association!
The 32nd annual Alabama Watermelon Association
Convention was held in February at the Beau Rivage
Resort in Biloxi, Mississippi. The convention was full
of fun, excitement, and even karaoke! This year was a
great success and a special thank you to all the sponsors:

There are a few more people who received awards

thank you to all that helped make her year so special.

year old daughter of Greg and Renea Nolin. She lives
in Enterprise and attends Enterprise Sate Community
Amber and I are both very excited to get this year
started. We will be attending the Florida Watermelon
Convention on March 23rd-25th in Tampa, FL. Following that Amber will attend the Queen Training hosted
by the National Watermelon Promotion Board, visit
elementary schools, attend watermelon festivals, and
complete a farm tour. Amber is eager to start her year
learning about and promoting watermelons.
